About Me

I was born and raised in Montana, started school as a Glasgow Scottie, but ended it better as a Nashua Porcupine 🙂

My grand adventure to the East coast began at Mt. Zion School of Ministry in PA, then on to Paul D. Camp Community College in VA, and back to PA, completing my dual teaching certification at Millersville University.

I taught at Cocalico High School in Denver, PA.  from 2008-2012 and loved every minute of it.  My home church is Reamstown Church of God, and I am incredibly blessed by the Word, the Worship, and the fellowship with the believers there.  During this wonderful season in life, I have felt the Lord preparing me for an upcoming change.

In the summer of 2010, I was able to go to Bosnia on a mission trip with Operation Mobilization.  Our team was led by Pastor Nat Saginario (a frequent speaker at Mount Zion School of Ministry back in “the day”) to reach out to the local people through programs in the park, literature distribution, prayer walks, friendship evangelism, a community concert, youth events, etc.

In the summer of 2011 I also participated in mission trips with OM back to Bosnia, to Portugal, and to Swaziland.  These experiences all helped to prepare me for the next step in the journey. This step was a bit more long term.  I took another short term trip to Bosnia in the summer of 2012, then in August of 2012 I joined OM to begin serving in Zambia, Africa training teachers.  This new season began with a group of 18 other people on a three month trek to several different countries in southern Africa.  We joined in the work of God through children’s ministry, assisting in schools, hospitals, visiting homes to do practical work and share the gospel, preaching in churches, showing the Jesus Film, ministering to the poor, the widows, and the orphans, and simply listening to and being with the people of southern Africa.

I have now begun my time in Zambia training the teachers and supporting them as we start and grow and develop community schools in compounds and rural areas. It is such a privilege to be a part of training up local people to bring the hope and love of Christ through a Christ-centred education in areas where children would otherwise have limited or no option of schooling.

In the last couple years we have been so blessed to see God grant our little training center accreditation with the Zambian government so we can send teachers out to other nations. I am humbled and amazed when I think of all He has done through a little group of trainers a handful of teachers and so many praying for and supporting us from around the world…creating a library, accrediting a teacher’s college, starting and developing 6 schools in southern Africa, reaching over 500 children through the teachers that have been trained, mentoring, encouraging and shaping American college students who have come as interns for kingdom life, and so much more. Thank you for journeying with me on this amazing ride.
